DESCRIBE YOUR ROLE AT SOMAS
I work in Somas service department focusing on technical assistance. My job is to help our many customers all over the world on site. I do my best to understand and come up with solutions. When I’m not out of the office traveling I also assist via phone and E-mail.
WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF YOUR JOB?
Getting the opportunity to go out and see the world is something I really like. It’s both fun and exciting to meet new people and to experience new cultures. I also appreciate that the trips I get to go on are shorter than the ones I went on in my previous job. It’s always nice to come home!
HOW DID YOU COME TO WORK AT SOMAS
Previously I worked as a service diver for many different companies, among other things I got to help out on oil rigs in Norway. I felt it was time to try something new and happened to see that Somas service department were hiring right around the time I began looking for a new job. Since the work seemed interesting I sent in an application and the rest is history!
HOW DO YOU VIEW SOMAS AS A COMPANY?
Somas is in my opinion an incredibly well organized company. I enjoy the work I get to do and my co-workers very much. I also really appreciated the fact that everything I needed to get started was already taken care of by the time I walked into the office for the first time!

Who am I: A cheerful and helpful person both on and off work. In my spare time I like to work on renovating my house, sailing and traveling (especially to Thailand) where I mostly spend my time fishing and free diving!
