Pneumatic actuators Type A
Somas’ type A actuators provide optimum control and on/off functionality for your valves. These actuators are specially designed for use with Somas’ ball valves, ball segment valves and butterfly valves, which stipulate high demands as regards torque and precision.
Choose the right actuator for your valves
You can choose between double-acting type A-DA actuators, which provide low-friction control with no delay, or single-acting type A-SC/SO actuators, which have a built-in spring function to close or open the valve in the event of a power failure.
Somas’ type A actuators have a unique design that converts the linear motion of the piston into a rotating motion with the help of a linkage system. This delivers smooth, stable torque that is suitable for ball segment, butterfly and ball valves. The actuators also have lockable adjustment screws to adjust the end positions of the open and closed valve positions.
Increased safety
In order to improve your safety and reduce maintenance, Somas’ type A actuators have springs that are mounted in a protected cartridge. These springs provide you with a reliable spring return function that is optimised for compact dimensions.
