How did you come to work at Somas?

I studied to become a welder and got the opportunity to come to Somas as a trainee. After that, I was offered a job in final assembly and from there I moved over to goods and packaging. I really liked my time here as a trainee so saying yes to the offer was an easy choice.

How long have you worked here, what makes you stay?

I started in 2025. What keeps me around is the fact I enjoy the work and my colleagues, there’s a lot of comradery here.

What’s a good day at work like for you?

A good day for me is when everything runs smoothly. All orders are complete, you find what you need straight away and there are no delays, that makes the work more fun and convenient.

Which part of your job are you the proudest of?

I like it when everything is neatly organized, especially during packaging/loading. It feels good to know our products are prepared properly for their deliveries.

What’s the trickiest part of your job?

When I started, I wasn’t really used to driving a forklift, despite the fact I had a license for it. You learn with time though, these days I enjoy it.

What’s something you think a lot of people misunderstand about your job?

Many assume we just spend all day packing boxes, but the work is a lot more varied than that. We keep track of stock, order materials and get to work with a lot of different valves.

What makes you enjoy working with your team?

We’re a tight-knit crew, always having fun together. It’s easy to work together and you always feel welcome.

What’s the key to keeping the flow of orders going?

Everything being in place and on time, and good communication between departments. That makes the work easier and more efficient.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I enjoy working out, traveling, playing videogames and spending time with friends.
