How did you come to work at Somas?
I had my eye on Somas as a potential employer for a long time. When I moved from Säffle to Borås and worked there, an opportunity presented itself at Somas that I didn’t want to miss. So, I moved back and it felt like I had come full circle.
How long have you worked here, what makes you stay?
I started in early 2024. What keeps me around are the people I work with and the variety of my work. When working in Production Engineering, you’re constantly learning new things and no two days are ever alike.
What’s a good day at work like for you?
A good day for me is when everything runs smoothly without issues, and when improvements you’ve made have a direct effect on our production. It’s a good feeling seeing the results of your own work.
Which part of your job are you the proudest of?
My own personal development since starting, and getting to contribute to improvements that save time, simplifies our work and raises the overall quality in our production.
What’s the trickiest part of your job?
Finding a solution quickly when something unexpected happens. You need to be able to prioritize and think under pressure, but that’s part of the fun.
What’s something you think a lot of people misunderstand about your job?
The fact that our industry is very modern today, the focus is on problem solving, improvement and cooperation. It’s not a heavy/dirty job like you might think.
What makes you enjoy working with your team?
We learn from each other, help each other and have fun together. It’s a good combination of factors.
What drives you in your work towards improvements?
The work to improve and develop is constant. Small changes can have a big impact, both for production and the people working here. It’s satisfying to watch.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Biking, spending time with family, and playing with my kids. It gives me renewed energy.
